WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS
It can be hard to ask for help. Like, really hard. And I was reminded of that fact just this evening. When you try the same thing over and over and over again to no avail, something has to give. Recognizing the cycle is the first step to moving past the issue.
Now, from there you've got a few options. You can try to fix it on your own (although, that really hasn't been working so well for ya, has it?) or, you can ask for help. It takes guts to tell someone you can't do it on your own. It makes you vulnerable and, let's face it, who wants to do that?! I know it's not easy for me to ask for help. I never want to feel like I can't achieve something and asking for help is like putting up a billboard saying I can't do this. Maybe that's me being crazy or a little too harsh on myself, but it's how I feel.
Take a moment to think though. Yes, you might have goals that only you can achieve. Does that mean you can't have help along the way? Does that mean you have to do it on your own, running around in circle, pulling your hair out, trying to figure something out that you just can't understand? What if you stopped for a moment and opened yourself up to getting the support you need? Think about not only how much faster you could reach your goal but how much less stressed you'd be. So, go ahead, do it your way. Get annoyed. Get stressed out. Throw that computer across the room. Just remember that NONE OF THAT IS ACTUALLY HELPING YOU. What will help is literally asking someone, "Can you help me?" Go ahead. Surprise yourself with how amazing it feels to ask that one simple question.
Thank you Universe,
